Advocacy Department (AD)

AD helps all people with disabilities concerning housing, by handling out a list of apartments and houses applicable for low-income people. We also attend meetings about housing to obtain all necessary information needed to meet our clients’ needs.

AD helps them with many resources when applying for Employment by guiding them through a job search and in creating resumes. AD also attends job fairs and a job developer is there gathering information so that we can always be updated on any new information for our clients.

We also assist with transportation by attending SunLine Transit meetings and then we let our clients know what services are available for them.

AD interviews and counsels our clients on how to meet their needs. We also help seniors with many different tasks by assisting them on how to fill out housing forms appropriately and in obtaining the right resources for them.

AD is the place where we make our special phone calls, striving to gather volunteers. All volunteers are very important to us and we welcome new volunteers all the time. There is always someone in need and the greatest joy as a volunteer is to help someone that someday might just help you.
